DJ abilities have come a long way since I was bopping away down at the local youth club. Dancing round the handbags to Duran Duran being played on a 12″ vinyl was great at the time – so long as no one barged into the equipment or the record didn’t get scratched!

Nowadays abercrombie outlet , much of the music is played electronically. It’s taken a little while for digital music to take off but now it has there’s just no stopping it. There have been complaints that this sort of thing takes something away from proper musical instruments being played, but musicians still enjoy what they do.

The digitalisation of it simply means that imperfections can be tweaked and the music shared much more easily than before. DJ’s no longer have to carry around van loads of heavy vinyl records which means they can hold a much wider repertoire of music, covering every genre. With music downloads, this has also done away with the need to wait for a vinyl record to be released.

However, what has happened now is that we have a whole new world of music for musicians and DJ’s to get their heads round. With this generations love of technology, it was only a matter of time before something was developed that would control the digital music to a degree that it limits the chances of mistakes and opens doors otherwise closed.

Various musical equipment producers, such as Pioneer or Akai, have made many attempts and produced some fascinating equipment through their professional designers and engineers. Take, for example, the Akai APC 40. This is one little device that has revolutionised the world of digital music.

Basically, it is a control surface for mixing, remixing and producing electronic sounds from complete songs to sound effects, backing tracks, beats or virtual instruments. It can be programmed to make life easier or map the sounds you are currently using for future use.

The Akai APC40 will map all controls and functions and is the dedicated controller for the Ableton live. With 109 buttons, 9 faders and 16 encoders, there isn’t much that any DJ couldn’t do with this piece of kit.

Akai and Pioneer have long been the favoured names in musical production and we see many companies trying to take them on.  Behringer are also impressive contenders but whichever company you use, you can be sure they all have the one thing in common – to bring digital music into the centre of the arena and accessible to all.

Electronic engineering even sits as a class for University attendees so that future generations will be able to enjoy the delights of electronic music to the max. It is these experts that know the ins and outs of digital engineering. Music and computers have become one – interacting with each other to the point where it’s difficult to tell them apart and they now rely on each other quite heavily.
This is no bad thing – just a sign of our times.

For the young actors, auditioning is fun!

OK, the key to survival as a young actor is summed up in one little three letter word: FUN. According to acting school Los Angeles instructor, students have to enjoy going to acting classes, going to auditions and driving around town meeting people. The process of getting work is so difficult sometimes that we don’t want to even try. But try you must. And the key is to ENJOY trying.
Ways to have fun getting work in the acting industry:
1. Find acting classes Los Angeles. Having a place where you can grow, feel supported and unique and where you can take risks and fall on your face and start over. Acting classes Los Angeles are about discovering yourself and what parts of you that are so special and learning to include that in the acting work. This is monumental to success and happiness. There is only one you and that’s what they cast.
2. Enjoy Auditioning. It’s like a performance with very little rehearsal time. Make strong powerful choices and go with your impulses and make the audition for yourself and not them. Take their direction but make it a performance and a job that you are booked on during the time you are in that room.
3. Get something from each audition. Emotionally or otherwise. Steal the pass from paramount studios that says “visitor” and cross out visitor and write “actor” and post it above your desk to remind you.
4. Create, act and act again. Write your own work, do a play, visit friends, go hiking in the mountains or the desert, go to the beach. Live a full fun life. It comes into the room.
I’ll write more later. I had a TV audition yesterday that went great, they loved it and I had fun. Then I had a movie audition today. The director laughed said great job and that was that. What happened? I don’t know. Nothing probably. I made someone laugh today, I acted a scene on tape and had a good time doing it. I’m on to my way acting class for teens this evening. I love acting, even if it’s just an audition. I don’t go for the job, I do the job at the audition room.
Let’s all get work!

Keeping Your Car Safe

There is nothing more frustrating than returning to your car to find it has been vandalised, broken into, or even worse, stolen altogether. Not only is it frustrating, but also inconvenient and invasive – it’s never a nice feeling to know someone has been through your personal belongings without your permission. Besides having comprehensive car insurance, there are some simple tips you can use to minimise the impact of having your car being broken into or stolen. Parking Your car is constantly at risk, but where you park your car can dramatically lower the chance of break-in or theft. If you park your car at the train or bus station, try to get there earlier so that the car is not left at the back of the car park. This will reduce the opportunities for a vandal or thief to make a move without being caught. This tip can also be applied in shopping centre car parks and other public spaces. The more activity that is happening around your car, the less likely it is that someone will take a chance to damage your vehicle. Remove Temptation It’s not just the car itself that is a target to robbers – it’s also the contents inside. Navigation systems, mobile phones, handbags, sunglasses, DVD’s, CD’s, iPod’s and even clothing are often popular items that are reported stolen from vehicles. To avoid smashed windows and missing personal items, remove them from sight. Placing them in the car boot or taking them out of the car altogether will stop opportunistic thieves. Physical Deterrents Work Like security doors for houses, visible steering wheel locks and alarms also offer a valuable visual deterrent that can often discourage thieves. Another simple, yet effective measure is making sure any alarm stickers are visible to all. The thought of setting off an alarm and drawing attention to the vehicle is often enough to stop robbers from breaking into your car. Lock Up Always be sure to lock all of your vehicle’s doors and keep windows wound shut. It may sound simple, but with keyless entry and remote devices now used in most cars, many people walk away, press a button and assume their car is secure. This is not always the case. Don’t walk away from your car until you have checked that it is completely locked and the windows are secured. Many of us often leave the car open or even running if ducking into a shop for 5 minutes. This is more than enough time for someone to let themselves in, take what they want and leave undetected. Even if you’re only going to be a couple of minutes, never leave your car unlocked. By following these simple tips, you’ll limit the opportunity to be a target of a car theft or robbery.
